Windows xp repair icon
I call the get a live person on the other end.. I get my new activation.. I get to the prod key install.. In reply to komodo47's post on January 23, Komodo, I think as far as I am sure of it haven't got the full answer yet but I did another repair on the computer this time without the sound car or network plugged in. On this time I got no reboot at "installing devices although it did ask for the drivers for yeh VGA adapter.
Thought nothing of it and clicked cancel and continued. I will have to try and find the motherboard model and find the drivers for an install while doing repair. I have also tried to create a new user in safe mode before the activation errors Bit with no luck I get stick at the same point. No desktop. No icons. Well bizzarre. Thing is if this is going to happen after using boot and nuke then it's a pointless and endless task. If you figure out a way of a fix please reply.
John Original above. Using a retail version of XP pro with sp3 integrated in it. Went to reboot, and was told needed to activate this copy of XP. Said ok, then hung at main screen. Thanks again microsquish Hi there i get the same proble describ on the topic but all the answers are not possible two options on the screen for asking activation you must activate windows before continuing "YES" "NO" IF select "YES" then no registration windows only wallpaper and it doesn't load windows IF sectect "NO" it restart tol user switch windows and if you try to go in safe mode whit or whtiwout network it say that can not activate in safe mode and back to square 1 if anyone no a diferent solution please say something.
