Windows xp monitor sleep mode
This computer had the monitor not sleeping problem no matter what was going on. It would never go to standby either. On another computer with the same problem, dissabling the antivirus for a test did not work. Dissabling all scheduled functions did not work. Every time a video streaming site such as YouTube is visited the problem returns. With this condition a re-start of the system is the only fix for now. I have now seen this on many computers not all the computers I work with , and not only the ones I own.
It is inconvenient that every time a video streaming site is visited the computer has to be re-started. A friend of mine suggested that maybe some code is being pushed to the display card to prevent the monitor from sleeping during the watching of videos.
Then for some reason when the videos are not being used the card's proper operation is not restored. I have no actual verification of this. This is only a theory. Office Office Exchange Server.
