Where is the serial number located for the head and base? Is there a serial number list available for Index machines such as the one available on lathes. OldParts liked this post. That was quick!. I don't want to give too many details until it's delivered, but I recently bought what I think is a really nice machine.

Probably 40 years old, but I think they "knew how to make 'em then;" maybe still do. Also, is there a thread comparing the to the ? Not that it matters to me, but I was on the WI website before buying this one, comparing a few specs to a BP I was also looking at: from the website specs, I couldn't quite figure out what is different.
